CES 2018 (Consumer Electronics Show) is finally upon us and the biggest tech giants including Sony, Samsung, Intel and LG have come together to show us fans the most outlandish and extravagant developments. As we’re still patiently waiting for the flying cars from Back to the Future Part II, there are a wide range of other futuristic toys that will blow your mind and make you ask yourself, “How is this possible?”

From foldable 4K TVs and self-driving luggage to lifelike robots, this year’s event is filled with insane innovations you’ve probably only ever seen in sci-fi movies. We can’t help but to geek out.

As more tech gets revealed over the course of the week, we’ll continue to update this list below.

For now, here are the coolest gadgets shown at CES 2018 in Las Vegas so far.

LG Display 65-inch Rollable OLED TV

LG Display is shaking up the TV market with their impressive foldable OLED TV. Yes, you read that correctly. Like a projector screen, the 65-inch screen equipped with a full 4K-resolution display rolls down into its base box at the push of a button. With another button push, the TV rolls back up and can shift its aspect ratio from 16:9 to the cinematic 21:9, letting you choose your optimal TV watching.

Sadly, this impressive device is only a prototype as of now, but if it ever does hit market, expect to put up big bucks for this TV experience.

Sophia, a Humanoid Robot

Move over Siri, Sophia is as close as we’re getting to Blade Runnerreplicants of the future.

Sophia is a humanoid robot built by Hanson Robotics that debuted in 2016. Her skin is surprisingly lifelike, using a material called “frubber” that lets her blink, move her mouth and turn her head (relatively) naturally. She has over 60 different facial expressions, and is now able to walk on her own. Thanks to the addition of legs created by DRC-HUBO, her legs are capable of moving at up to 0.6 miles per hour.

As mind-blowing it is to see such a technical feat, it’s hard not thinking that the Terminator Skynet uprising is soon upon us. Stay woke!

Self-Driving Luggage

Thanks to Chinese company ForwardX, the future of traveling is a lazy one. Introducing the CX-1 autonomous carry-on luggage, which is as close as you will get to your very own personal Star Wars R2 unit. It has a built-in camera with facial recognition, forward-wheel drive, and a max speed of 7mph, to follow its owner wherever they go.

No need to drag your overpacked luggage around the airport or risk losing it, because it won’t lose you. With a connected wristband, the Cx-1 can detect where you are and move towards your location.

The CX-1 doesn’t have a release date yet, but ForwardX is aiming for a 2018 release.

Pizza Hut’s Self-Driving Delivery Truck

Pizza Hut goes full on Black Mirror teaming up with Toyota to create a new “autonomous delivery concept vehicle.” There’s very little information about the concept, but the photo tweeted out by the pizza chain has many Black Mirror fans scared for their lives. If you’ve seen the the “Crocodile” episode you’ll know why.

Beside risking life for pizza though, having an I, Robot style truck delivering a fresh pie sounds dope!

Dreamlight Smart Eye Mask

Prepare to get the best sleep of your life with this $100 Dreamlight Sleep Mask. The large sleep mask is equipped with LED lights that emit orange light as you’re trying to fall asleep. The company says the colors will help you catch some shut-eye quicker.

It’s similar to what smartphones including Apple’s True Tone display on iPhones that project warm colors to help you snooze better. The mask does make you look like X-Men’s Cyclops, but at least it looks cozy. The company is putting the mask on crowdfunding site IndieGogo in the spring for sales.

Vivo’s On-Screen Finger Print Scanner

You’d expect tech giants Apple or Samsung to create the first on-screen finger print scanner, but surprisingly Chinese company Vivo beat them to it. The company is using a newly announced Synaptics optical sensor, which works by peering through the gaps between the pixels in an OLED display and scanning your uniquely patterned epidermis.

The only downfall so far is that the scanner doesn’t work as fast or as accurate as the physical ones currently on our phones. However, if you’re looking for a bezel-less phone and a fingerprint scanner on the front screen, Vivo’s iteration is as good as it gets for now.

Razer’s Project Linda Laptop

Razer has set out to to give users the ultimate laptop/phone integration. The Project Linda concept is an ultra-portable laptop design powered by the Android-based Razer Phone. The docked phone serves as an intelligent touchpad, bridging the gap between handheld entertainment and laptop convenience.

Uber’s Self-Piloting Air Taxi

After Toyota revealed that they’re making self-driving stores for Amazon, Pizza Hut, and others, Bell Helicopter announced an insane self-piloting taxi. The vehicle has yet to receive an official name, but Uber already plans to launch the robotic flights in the 2020s. Similar to that of a helicopter, the ride will take off and land at a vertical position, but when in the air it will maneuver more like a traditional airplane.
